Mission Statement

The Arthur Morgan Institute for Community Solutions seeks to educate people around the world about ways to make their communities more resilient, vital, and capable of withstanding dramatic shifts due to climate and economic disruptions.

In addition to our overarching focus on resilient communities, AMICS addresses four interrelated strategic target areas: regenerative land use; energy democracy; community economies; and being the change, or enabling people of all ages and stations to make real and demonstrable change toward a better world. By demonstrating successful applications of these practices, AMICS is encouraging change agents to take action in their own communities to confront common challenges with creativity, compassion, and a commitment to finding ethical, mutually-beneficial, place-based solution
